Wild lingonberry plant grows on sunny mountain slopes in Tyrol and the rest of the Alps. Its shiny deep red berries can be found under the evergreen leaves in small clusters from the end of August until the first snowfall. Thanks to their tart and fruity taste, lingonberries are very popular with hikers as a small refreshment. Their high vitamin and mineral content make them a tasty and healthy snack!
