Liqueur is an alcoholic beverage typically made from alcohol, sugar, and extracts from fruits, herbs, seeds, spices, or other plants and substance. The alcohol content of liqueurs must be at least 15% vol. The art of liqueur production lies in combining the different flavors of the individual ingredients in such a way that a harmonious and flavorful beverage is created. The most popular variants include fruit liqueurs, cream liqueurs, herbal liqueurs, and nut liqueurs. In Tyrol, fire liqueurs and winter liqueurs are also very popular.
